PASSWORD POLICIES

Property Requirements
Characters allowed
  • A – Z
  • a - z
  • 0 – 9
  • @ # $ % ^ & * - _ ! + = [ ] { } | \ : ' , . ? / ` ~ " ( ) ;

Password restrictions

 

  • Password cannot be reset more than once within a 24-hour period *
  • Password should be 8 to 12 characters in length
  • Must have all of the following:

       - At least 1 lowercase character
       - At least 1 uppercase character
       - A number (0-9)
       - Symbols (see "Characters allowed" above)
       - Cannot contain dictionary words (consider breaking works up with symbols - eg. D1ct10n@ry)
       - Cannot contain your name or a reasonable part of

Password expiry duration (maximum password age) 90 days

* If a password reset is required more than once within 24 hours then the ICT helpesk are required to do this and a support ticket will need to be logged.
