What are Medicare Mental Health Centres and Mental Health Hubs?

Medicare Mental Health Centres offer free, confidential mental health and wellbeing support in a welcoming space, including immediate help for people in distress. No referral, appointment or Mental Health Treatment Plan is needed.

Mental Health Hubs deliver evidence-based psychological therapies, information and support to adults who may be experiencing moderate psychological distress.

Key information about these services:

  • Open Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm (excluding public holidays).

  • Walk in to your nearest location - no appointment or referral necessary.

  • Free and confidential care, plus help connecting with other services.

  • Moruya Medicare Mental Health Centre officially opens

    25 February 2025

    Adults experiencing moderate to severe psychological distress, suicidal thoughts or mental health crisis can now access a range of support services at the new Moruya Medicare Mental Health Centre. The centre was officially opened by Fiona Phillips (Member for Gilmore) and COORDINARE – South Eastern NSW PHN.

    New free adult Mental Health Hub opens its doors in Nowra

    15 October 2024

    People living in the Shoalhaven and surrounding communities can now access a free, new walk-in mental health service for adults who may be experiencing moderate psychological distress.  

    The centre was officially opened today by Member for Gilmore Mrs. Fiona Phillips MP and COORDINARE – South Eastern NSW PHN.
