COORDINARE is seeking expressions of interest from a primary care health professional working as an Aboriginal health consultant, allied health professional or nurse to join our Illawarra Shoalhaven Clinical Council

This is an opportunity to use your skills, expertise and local knowledge to help shape primary health care services and improve access to care and health outcomes across the Illawarra Shoalhaven region.

About the Clinical Council 

The Illawarra Shoalhaven Clinical Council provides expert clinical advice and strategic guidance to COORDINARE's Board on health care priorities and emerging issues affecting communities across South Eastern NSW.

Clinical Council members play an important role in helping COORDINARE:

• strengthen integration across the health care system and support coordinated care
• inform the development, implementation and evaluation of key programs and initiatives
• identify emerging health issues and opportunities within primary care
• recommend innovative, locally relevant solutions that improve access to quality health care and health outcomes.

Membership

Membership is through an expression of interest process.

Appointments are for a three-year term, with the opportunity to extend.

What is the commitment?

Members attend quarterly meetings, either in person at a COORDINARE office (Wollongong, Nowra, Moruya or near Queanbeyan) or online via videoconference.

Meetings are generally held in the late afternoon between 4pm and 6pm.

Members may also be invited to contribute between meetings through targeted consultations and opportunities to provide feedback on key primary health care initiatives.
