COORDINARE - South Eastern NSW PHN welcomes the expansion of the NSW Government 'Welcome Experience' initiative, to support essential workers and their families to relocate, to more regions in South Eastern NSW.

After a successful pilot to help essential workers to relocate to Bega and Goulburn regions, the Welcome Experience has been expanded to include the Eurobodalla, Snowy Monaro, Queanbeyan and Yass Valley and will be implemented in stages to include new locations such as Shellharbour, Kiama and the Shoalhaven.

Through the Welcome Experience program, local connectors help relocating workers to find a new home, settle into communities, enrol kids in school, join sporting clubs and identify jobs for family members.

Prudence Buist, COORDINARE’s CEO said, "We are committed to actively supporting health professionals to make the move out of the city. We are delighted the NSW Government's Welcome Experience footprint is expanding, the pilot has made the relocation process easier for health workers who have moved to regional areas since June last year.

“With one of NSWs largest rural and regional populations, our Primary Health Network understands the challenge for many communities to access an appropriate and sustainable primary health care workforce. The Welcome Experience is one of a number of initiatives we support to attract health workers to our region and to assist practices and providers to advertise job opportunities.
