Free suicide prevention training highlighted at Wollongong Lord Mayor recognition event

This year's Wollongong City Council's Lord Mayor's 2026 Recognition Reception will be held on World Suicide Prevention Day and RUOK Day and will recognise a local recipient for service to suicide prevention advocacy.

From National Insights to Local Impact

Earlier this year, members of the Illawarra Shoalhaven and Bega Valley Eurobodalla Suicide Prevention Collaboratives attended the 2026 Suicide Prevention Australia Conference, joining community leaders, people with lived and living experience, researchers and practitioners from across the country to explore emerging evidence, ideas and approaches to suicide prevention.
