Reach out anytime - support is available
6 January 2021
As South Eastern NSW marks the anniversaries of the Black Summer bushfires, COORDINARE is reminding residents there is a range of services and supports available.
Dianne Kitcher, CEO South Eastern PHN NSW, says many people (including first responders) and communities may need support during this time.
“We understand the anniversaries can be a difficult time so we are encouraging people to reach out for support if they need it.
“It may be as simple as talking to someone they trust, visiting their local GP, or accessing one of the free services which are available to support bushfire affected communities.”

“These services continue to help individuals and their loved ones deal with the emotional impacts the bushfires have caused, and ensure there are support options available to assist them with recovery,” says Ms Kitcher.
Kristy McBain, Federal Member for Eden-Monaro says taking care of ourselves and others has never been more important.
“If you, a family member or friend needs support, I encourage anyone to seek assistance and advice. The path to recovery is individual and there are locally based supports across the region.”
