Novavax vaccines to be rolled out across South Eastern NSW

People in South Eastern NSW will now have access to the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine, with the Department of Health selecting 14 practices to administer the vaccine from 21 February and an additional 14 from 28 February.

Tribute to local primary health workers as South East NSW vaccination rates reach 80 percent

COVID double dose vaccination rates in the 11 local government areas (LGAs) in South Eastern NSW have officially passed the 80 per cent eased restrictions target. According to the latest statistics, first dose rates have also passed the 90 per cent milestone in every LGA.

Indigenous Australians are behind non-Indigenous Australians in the vaccination rollout, new data has revealed, but local Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) leaders are confident that they can enhance the rollout as Pfizer supplies increase.

Call for over 60s to get vaccinated

COORDINARE is urging people aged 60 and older to book their AstraZeneca COVID vaccine appointment as soon as possible. According to Dianne Kitcher, CEO of COORDINARE – South Eastern NSW PHN, supplies of AstraZeneca are readily available through the combined primary health workforce.

Roger, Jo and Justin’s COVID Vaccination Story

Over 150 general practices in South Eastern NSW are administering COVID-19 vaccines, as part of the Federal Government’s vaccination roll-out strategy. It has been nearly 12 weeks since Jo Lill received the COVID vaccine at her local general practice and she intends to get her second dose of AstraZeneca.
