Commissioning Coordinator, Suicide Prevention

The Commissioning Coordinator, Suicide Prevention role is an integral part of the Suicide Prevention team supporting the commissioning of universal aftercare and other suicide prevention services and solutions to achieve a more connected system based on population needs that lead to improved outcomes and consumer experience across South Eastern NSW.

If you would like to do the following:

  • work collaboratively with a diverse and passionate team,
  • focus on innovation and driving system change,
  • base yourself in either Wollongong, Nowra, Fyshwick or Moruya,
  • full time, fixed term contract for 12 months, possible extension depending on funding.

Summary

COORDINARE is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Commissioning Coordinator, Suicide Prevention to join our team and report to the Program Manager, Suicide Prevention. Playing an integral role in driving regional suicide prevention system change and ensuring people experience are connected, compassionate, culturally safe and holistic support when experiencing suicidal distress.

What skills and experience are required to be successful in this role?

  • well developed skills and experience in project management in a complex, specialised environment,
  • demonstrated understanding of a positive contemporary approach to person centred service delivery,
  • ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team,
  • excellent communications skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence and build relationships with a range of stakeholders,
  • sound understanding of commissioning and commissioning processes (desirable).
