As Medical Director Illawarra Shoalhaven, Dr Michelmore contributes to COORDINARE's direction and strategy, providing high-level expert advice to the Chief Executive and Board on all clinical governance issues.
Dr Michelmore works in partnership with Dr Cameron-Taylor (Medical Director for Southern NSW) and they are responsible for the Primary Care Development team which provides targeted support to general practitioners and general practices to implement quality improvement initiatives and best practice care utilising digital health, preventative care and quality improvement systems based on general practice population data management.
Dr Michelmore is the executive sponsor for COORDINARE's Illawarra Shoalhaven Clinical Council and supports the various GP leadership roles funded by the organisation and general practice education. Dr Michelmore continues in clinical general practice two days per week and supports medical student assessments with the University of Wollongong.
