The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) developed the 'Infection prevention and control standards' to assist health professionals to implement procedures.
They focus on practice-based risk assessment and staff education, and are mandatory for accreditation, aligning with the RACGP Standards 5th edition criterion GP 4.1.
