Share your experience - electronic prescribing

25 August 2025

Since electronic prescribing was introduced in 2020, more than 219 million ePrescriptions have been issued by over 85,000 prescribers across Australia. This shift has transformed how general practices and pharmacies manage prescriptions and support patient care.

e-Prescribing has improved safety and efficiency across the system, although challenges remain, particularly with usability, integration and consumer understanding.
We are inviting both clinical and administrative staff in general practices and pharmacies to share their experiences through a short survey. Your feedback will help inform improvements that make e-Prescribing more effective and easier to use.

  • For General Practices - We welcome input from GPs, Nurse Practitioners, practice nurses and administrative staff. Click here to complete our quick survey.
  • For Pharmacies - We welcome input from pharmacists, dispensary staff and pharmacy assistants. Click here to complete our quick survey.

Interested in providing a bit more information?

We are also seeking GPs, Nurse Practitioners and Pharmacists to take part in a short follow-up activity. This involves a simple tally of prescribing or dispensing methods over a few days, followed by a brief interview. Reimbursement for your time is available.
