With a new COVID-19 vaccine available from today, doctors in South Eastern NSW are encouraging people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 if they haven’t had their recommended dose(s) for 2023.

2023 COVID-19 vaccine booster now available
20 February 2023
Adults can get an additional COVID-19 booster shot from February 20th from general practices, medical services or pharmacies. The booster is available to those aged 18 and older who have not had a COVID-19 booster or a case of the virus in the past six months.

Second bivalent vaccine added to COVID booster options

A number of general practices in South Eastern NSW, along with other vaccination providers, will have a second bivalent vaccine available from today for those needing a booster dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Australia’s first bivalent vaccine added to booster options
10 October 2022
Vaccination providers, including general practices, in South Eastern NSW can begin to administer the first bivalent COVID-19 vaccine available in Australia over the next three weeks with some practices receiving the vaccine today.

Expanded eligibility for fourth COVID-19 vaccine dose
8 July 2022
People aged 30 and older will be eligible to receive a fourth COVID-19 vaccine dose from 11 July 2022 after the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) updated its recommendations.
