PeerLine is a confidential peer-run telephone service providing support to people who use drugs, who are on the opioid treatment program or who are seeking treatment across NSW. PeerLine can help connect you with your community and empower you to take control.

QLife

helpline

QLife provides anonymous LGBTQ+ peer support and referral for people wanting to talk about a range of issues including sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings, or relationships. QLife services are free and include both telephone and webchat support for LGBTQ+ individuals, their friends and families, and health professionals in Australia.

Queanbeyan Mental Health Hub

In partnership with new Head to Health services, COORDINARE has commissioned five new mental health hubs, with interim services in Queanbeyan from January 2024 and fully operational by April 2024. The hubs deliver free, evidence-based psychological supports for vulnerable and hard to reach communities.

Rural Outreach Mental Health Service

The Rural Outreach Mental Health Service (ROMHS) provides free clinical support from a mental health nurse to people with complex mental health issues in the Shoalhaven, Shellharbour and Kiama regions, and Southern NSW. This is a free service available via referral.

The service offers counselling, support groups and programs to equip individuals and families with the skills to address substance use and/or mental health issues.

SANE Australia provide 24 hour access to online forums and peer support regarding life's difficulties. You can chat with others in similar situations including lived experience or friends, family and carers forums.

Digital hub for LGBTQ+ people impacted by sexual, domestic, and family violence. The hub also includes information for health professionals seeking tips and tools to support LGBTQ+ clients.

Shared Medical Appointments (SMAs) or ‘group consultations’ is a model of care that increases access to care, reduce costs, utilises peer support, and improves consumer and provider satisfaction. SMAs target a particular chronic condition and aim to improve health outcomes.
